Anyone observing the global landscape of our present day understands much of the world is descending into deeper darkness. International instability and uncertainty are at levels unseen for decades. It is evident from the context of history we are inching closer to a worldwide tipping point poised to provoke a significant crisis of some kind, at worst case, world war. Much of this, as the article notes, is resulting from a lack of competence, integrity, and sincerity by our leaders towards significant issues. We’re all familiar with the Scripture’s warnings of the last days: Men being filled with pride, arrogance, conceit, wickedness, recklessness, etc. This article is a good example and sheds light on real world circumstances echoing those warnings.
Yet furthermore, what we need now more than ever are men and women of God placed in strategic positions, delivering sound wisdom to our leaders. We need modern day Joseph’s and Daniel’s raised up in placements of authority, providing wise counsel to the rulers of nations. The Church should continue to pray specifically for the global leadership and those influencing global leadership. I have hope that this is already being done; bridges are being built, and The Lord is positioning some of his greatest servants in pivotal roles of authority to fulfill his perfect purposes.

In introducing the broad topic to readers, TNI editors wrote, “Only through a historical perspective can we fully understand the profound developments of our time and glean, perhaps only dimly, where they are taking us. One thing is clear: they are taking us into a new era. The only question is how much disruption, chaos and bloodshed will attend the transition from the Old Order to whatever emerges to replace it…”
